One was all it took to get me hooked … one ALLMED, that is! What I thought would be a little leadership education before becoming a local alliance president in Bexar County has become an annual event I don’t want to miss.
Each year the offerings at ALLMED, our TMA Alliance annual conference, are different – sometimes allowing for personal growth and sometimes enhancing my knowledge base or skill set. What ALLMED always does, however, is provide at least one new idea, shared by another alliance member, that changes the way we serve the Family of Medicine in my local alliance.
This year will be no different. Executive Coach Frank Rosinia, MD, will help us better manage
our organizations, community partnerships, and even friendships with “Advanced Adulting: Leading Through Listening.” Certified High-Performance Coach Nora Vasquez, MD, will share strategies to help us identify core values and set meaningful goals in “High-Performance Leadership: Aligning Values, Goals, and Decisions for Transformational Impact."
Of course, the most valuable ideas often come from each other, and we’ll have time to share at our roundtable discussions and Poster Session Reception. And we always have a bit of business and plenty to celebrate. Our Celebration Luncheon is a terrific place to recognize the achievements of our alliances.
Stay on for Friday night’s TMA Foundation Gala: Adventure! It promises to be fun filled with the hope of earning record-breaking funds to put back into the TMA
outreach programs we implement in our communities.
So while I originally came to ALLMED for the learning, the reason I keep coming back is the relationships I’ve built with TMAA members across Texas – people who have become meaningful parts of my life. Our connections and support are unmatched. Join me in San Antonio to see for yourself!
ALLMED: Every Member Welcome
You’re invited to ALLMED 2025, TMAA’s annual state conference, at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio on May 8-10. ALLMED is a terrific opportunity to meet and renew friendships with other medical spouses from across Texas and enjoy idea-sharing, celebration, dynamic presentations, and fun. And it’s a great location for a family weekend getaway, so consider bringing your spouse and kids.
ALLMED will kick off with a Dutch-treat luncheon on Thursday at Cibolo Moon in the hotel. After lunch, two opening session speakers – Frank Rosinia, MD, and Nora Vasquez, MD – will provide tips and tools to sharpen your leadership skills. The Poster Session Reception will round out the day.
On Friday, the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) provides a year-in-review look at TMAA and allows you to take part in TMAA business. This year, TMAA will vote to adopt updated bylaws. Each alliance is allowed 10 voting members at the ABM, so get a cohort together to ensure your alliance uses all its votes.
Roundtable discussions will allow idea sharing among alliance members, followed by the Celebration Luncheon to honor the achievements of local alliances.
