Texas Medical License Requirements

Medical licensure in Texas is governed by the Texas Medical Board. Individuals eligible for licensure must successfully complete an accredited graduate medical education program, obtain board certification, and have no restrictions on their license and prescribing authority.

Discounted Membership

Newly licensed physicians (who have never been a member) can enjoy TMA annual dues at half-price for the first year of membership.

FREE, Mandated CME Programming

TMA has developed CME programs that fulfill specific mandates from state and federal agencies. Courses address human trafficking, opioid prescribing, OSHA and HIPAA – and are free for members.
